Detour

DETOUR — an AI short film by AIST for the Global Film Festival. A neon racing thriller set in 2000s Tokyo, inspired by 1990s arcade racers.

Ryu, a pizza delivery rider who has spent his life playing it safe, takes an urgent order that pulls him onto a route the map shouldn't know. He meets Lisa, a fearless stranger who rides with him through a night where every turn rewrites the rules — and the line between the game and the city starts to break. Speed won't be enough. What would you risk for someone you met an hour ago?
